Cristina Bayona Sáez (Pamplona, 1966) has a degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Administration by University of Zaragoza. She also has a PhD in Business Administration by Public University of Navarre.

She develops her teaching activity at UPNA's Department of Business Management, as a Full Professor in the Business Organisation Area. Her teaching activity began in said department in 1993 as a lecturer, and continued as an Associate Professor from 2003 on. In 1999, she undertook a research stay at Carlos III University of Madrid.

In the field of research, she is part of the Business Economics research group and a researcher at the Institute for Advanced Research in Business (INARBE). Her main focus has been on the study of innovation management from various perspectives: innovation systems and the analysis of public policies, cooperation in innovation, and open innovation. She has published over thirty papers in this field, most of them in indexed international journals. This research has been conducted as part of more than ten research projects funded through regional, national, and European calls, in the latter case as the lead researcher. She has co-supervised two doctoral theses and has been recognized with four six-year research periods, one six-year period for knowledge transfer, and six five-year periods for teaching.

Regarding her involvement in academic management, she has served on the Board of the Faculty of Economics and Business, been Deputy Director of the Department of Business Management, participated in the working group for the Bachelor’s degree in Economics, and been a member of the management committee for the University Business Creation Lab as well as a member of the university senate. Between 2008 and 2015, she served as the Director of the Knowledge Transfer Office in the office of the Vice-Chancellor for Research. Since June 2015, she has been the Vice-chancellor for Students, Employment, and Entrepreneurship at Public University of Navarre.

Ritxar Arlegi Pérez (Pamplona, 1967) has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Science by the University of the Basque Country (1991) and a Doctorate degree by Public University of Navarre (1999), with an Extraordinary Doctorate Award. He has stayed at the University of British Columbia, Canada, and University of California at Riverside. 

He is an Associate professor (tenured) in the Economic Analysis Foundations area in the Economics Department at UPNA. He has taught in all the degrees of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, both Bachelor's and Postgraduate, in Spanish, Basque and English. He is currently developing two projects on teaching innovation.

In the researching scope, his areas of interest are the individual decision theory, theory of social election, experimental economics and sports economics. Ever since 1999 he has been regularly publishing scientific papers on prestigious international journals - it is worth mentioning European Journal of Operational Research, Journal of Economic Theory, or Journal of Economic Behaviour and Organization. In 2010 he was granted the Consolider Award which recognises research excellence. He has supervised a doctoral thesis and he is currently main researcher of both UPNA's SEED research group and a research project of the National Research Plan.

Regarding management, he has been the Deputy Director of UPNA's Department of Economics throughout two periods - 2011-2012 and 2016-2018 - and Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration from 2012 to 2016. He has also been a member of UPNA's Linguistic Planning Commission from 2007 to 2016. 

In the assessment area, he has been working for the Basque Assessment Agency (Unibasq) as teaching staff assessor and also assessing the implementation of teaching assessment systems within Basque universities. He has also been an assessor of projects included in the National Research Plan for the National Agency for Quality Assessment (ANECA).
 

Paula Anzola Román

Paula Anzola Román (Bilbao, 1983) graduated in Business Administration and Management from the Deusto Business School (2006) and holds a PhD in Economics, Business Science and Law from the Public University of Navarre (2018).

She teaches management. She currently belongs to the Department of Business Management at the UPNA, where she worked as an Associate Professor for two academic years before being named Assistant Professor with PhD in September 2019. She has taught in Spanish, Basque and English, mainly for the Bachelor’s degree in Management and Business Administration. She has supervised several final-year projects for this qualification.

After three years as a tax adviser in the private sector, she began her research career at the UPNA through various research contracts with the Department of Business Management. After that, she completed her doctoral thesis and conducted research in the field of innovation management, with a particular emphasis on matters related to open innovation and organisational innovation. She has taken part in several Spanish and European research projects, and has published papers in indexed journals, such as the Journal of Business Research and the Journal of Knowledge Management.

More recently, her work has focused on developing and studying entrepreneurship, particularly worthy of note being her participation in a study on UPNA research spin-offs and the coordination of programmes for young entrepreneurs. The management position she currently holds, Head of Entrepreneurship, was created within this context.
