Biography
Joaquín Romero Roldán has a second-cycle degree in Business Administration and Management from the UPNA, and has studied trading in foreign markets and international marketing in the Chamber of Commerce of Navarre and at the University of Salford (United Kingdom).
In 2016 he was appointed General Manager of the UPNA, taking charge of operations management during that term according to the competences established in the university Statutes and assuming the responsibilities associated with the position on the Board of Trustees of the University-Society Foundation, the Governing Committee of Navarrabiomed and the Board of Directors of SIGMA AIE.
He has professional experience in the management of cultural institutions. In 2008 he was appointed General Manager of the Orfeón Pamplonés choir and in March 2014 he was named General Manager of the Pablo Sarasate Foundation-Navarre Symphony Orchestra, management of which he combined with that of the Orfeón. He has more than 15 years of professional experience in international trade in companies such as Bodegas Castillo de Enériz (Export Manager), Arfe SA (Area Manager, Europe), Rockwool SA (Head of Raw Material Procurement) and Asia International (Foreign Trade Officer resident in Asia).
He has worked in consulting in areas such as international trade, purchasing, consultancy and strategic planning, and has supplementary qualifications in communication, marketing and computer science.
He has been a member of the Navarre Foundation Association’s Cultural Affairs Council, economic assessor for Government of Navarre calls for proposals (performing arts production projects) and external member of the board of the professional contemporary Basque dance company Dantzaz Konpainia.
