From which degrees can I access the Master's Degree in Agricultural Engineering?
Access to the master's degree is direct for students who have the degree of:
- Agricultural Technical Engineer
- Agricultural, Food and Rural Environment Engineering
Other degrees: provided that it is proved that at least the modules of Basic Training and Common Training of the Agricultural Branch have been completed, and at least 48 ECTS of the module of Specific Technology, defined by the Order CIN 323/2009, of 9 February, and that the previous training complements that the ETSIAB considers convenient to acquire the minimum competencies have been completed.

- Any other degree that grants attributions in the different specialties of the profession of agricultural technical engineer.
What will I be able to work in when I finish the Master's Degree in Agricultural Engineering?
- Project and process engineering: planning, organization, management and control of production systems and processes in the agricultural sector and the agro-food industry; design, projection and execution of infrastructure works, buildings, facilities and equipment.
- Land use planning and environment: environmental impact assessment, environmental audits, sustainable agriculture, hydraulic and wind erosion, desertification, waste treatment, natural resources, ecology, landscape, geodesy and topography.
- Agro-industrial constructions: greenhouses, grain silos and warehouses, livestock housing, drying plants, fodder dehydration plants, feed factories, seed selection centers and agricultural warehouses.
- Food and agriculture industries: oil mills, canning factories, wine cellars, dairy farms, slaughterhouses, cold stores, freezing facilities, etc.
- Soils: soil analysis, fertilization and amendment of agricultural soils
- Water management and renewable energies: hydrological studies, soil-plant studies, irrigation projects, drainage and generation facilities with renewable energies.
- Crop protection and biotechnology: animal and plant selection and breeding, disease and pest prevention and diagnosis.
- Direction and management of agricultural and livestock farms: agricultural economics and sociology, company valuations, expert reports.

Access and admission
Access requirements
To be admitted to the official Master's Degree courses, students must hold an official university degree issued by a higher education institution in the European Higher Education Area or in other countries which entitles them to access Master's degree courses in the country issuing the degree.
Specific criteria for the Master's degree
In order to access this Master’s degree from degrees of foreign educational systems, the degree must be standardised.
If demand exceeds the number of places available, students will be admitted to the master's degree course according to the following scale
- Average grade of the academic record: 100%.
- The reservation of 5% of places for students with a recognized disability equal to or greater than 33% will be taken into account.
