International advisory committee

External Scientific Advisory Board

The ISFOOD Institute counts on an External Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) including relevant scientist, one for each research area, which advises the Institute’s Executive Council and reports said Council on the alignment of scientific priorities on an international level, makes it possible for all to follow key measures, and improves the circulation of international ideas.

Members of the committee are:

  • José Antonio Martínez Casasnovas, professor of the Department of Environment and Soil Sciences of University of Lleida. Expert in Precision Agriculture and Cartography and soil assessment: modelling of hydrological erosion. He is currently a member of the Agrótica [ICT applied to Agriculture] and Precision Agriculture research group of University of Lleida and one of the Spanish representatives in the Management Committee de la European Conference of Precision Agriculture. 
  • Isabel Casasús Pueyo, researcher of the research group Sustaineble Food Agriculture and Farming Systems (SAGAS) in the Agrifood Research and Technology Centre of Aragón (CITA) and current president of the European Federation of Animal Science, association of reference in the field of Animal Production in Europe and in the world. 
  • Olga Martín Belloso, professor of the Department of Food Technology of University of Lleida. She is in charge of the New technologies research group for food processing. She is the President of the Spanish Food Engineering Society and the European Food Science and Technology Federation, as well as ambassador in Spain of the Global Harmonisation Initiative (GHI). 
  • Luis Moreno Aznar, professor of the Psychiatry and Nursing of University of Zaragoza. He is coordinator of GENUD (Growth, Exercise, Nutrition and Development) research group of University of Zaragoza. He is a member of the Nutrition Committee of the European Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN), director of the Ordesa Chair for Children’s Nutrition and President of the Ibero-American Nutrition Foundation.
  • Margarita Brugarolas Molla-Bauza, professor of University School, in the Department of Agricultural and Environmental Economics, Cartographic Engineering and Graphic Expression in Engineering of University Miguel Hernández, current president of the Spanish Association of Agricultural economy and expert in Agricultural economy.
