External academic internships are activities educational in nature carried out by students, supervised and, when necessary, assessed by the university. Their goal is to apply and complement the knowledge acquired throughout their academic training. Thus, the acquisition of competencies that prepare them to exercise their professional activities, improve their employability and encourage their capacity to become entrepreneurs is fostered.
Bachelor's degree and Master’s degree external academic internships may be:
- Curricular: training activities included in the syllabus.
- Extracurricular: they are voluntary and, even though they have the same goals as curricular internships, they are not included in the syllabus.
