International advisory committee
The Institute of Smart Cities counts on an international advisory committee that guides, evaluates, and supports the various activities of the institute. Members of the committee are:
- Patrick Hirsh, Ph.D., associate professor, coordinator of the Doctoral Studies Programme in Social and Economic Sciences, Deputy Director of the Institute, University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna, Department of Economics and Social Sciences, Institute of Logistic Production.
- Marta Barreras, Ph.D., Module Chief Engineer, Director of Technology and Innovation at Siemens-Gamesa.
- José Luis Santos, full professor of the Department of Physics and Astronomy of the University of Porto. Researcher at INESCTEC – Centre of Applied Photonics.
- Julia Kowal, full professor and director of the Department of Electrical Energy Storage Technology of the Technical University of Berlin.
- Alireza Rezaniakolaei, associate professor of Energy Technologies, Aalborg University, director of the Low Power Energy Harvesting & i-Solutions Research Programme.
- Josep Samitier, full professor of the Faculty of Physics (Electronics Department) of the University of Barcelona. Director of the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC).
- Julio Mayol, full professor of Surgery (Physiopathology and Surgical Propedeutics, and Surgical Pathology) of the Complutense University of Madrid and Head of the Surgery Section at the Clinical Hospital San Carlos.
