DATUPNA

The project 'Digital Transformation and Modernisation of Administration Programme - Navarre' was approved by Resolution of 13 December from the Secretary of State for Public Administration, which publishes the Agreement of the Sectoral Conference on Public Administration. This Agreement formalises the distribution criteria corresponding to Investment 3 of Component 11 (C11 I3), allocated for the digital transformation and modernisation of the autonomous communities and the cities of Ceuta and Melilla under the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan for years 2021, 2022, and 2023, as well as the distribution of the credit allocated in 2021 by the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism.

By Resolution 139E/2022, of 20 October, of the Director General of Universities in the Department of Universities, Innovation, and Digital Transformation of the Government of Navarre, the text of the agreement with the University for the development of the initiative named DATUPNA (Next Generation University - A Data Driven Institution) within the framework of the 'Digital Transformation and Modernisation of Administration Programme' is approved.

  • Acronym: DATUPNA
  • Name of action: Digital Transformation and Modernisation of Administration Programme - Navarre.
  • Summary: One of the key aspects of any organisation is making decisions based on its available information.  Universities have access to a vast amount of data, originating from their three main areas: teaching, research, and awareness. However, due to the various systems and applications from which this data originates, it can sometimes be challenging to obtain all the information in the appropriate format or structure. Therefore, in addition to traditional analytical dashboards, it is necessary to have real-time systems that provide information for assessing current situations and predicting future scenarios.

Through these systems, the university will make decisions based on data analysis, which is a critical asset of the organisation. This data must be acquired, standardised, classified, and protected appropriately. Moreover, access to information and data should be universal within the institution, open and accessible to everyone, thereby enabling UPNA to achieve its goals more effectively and efficiently.

  • To develop and implement our data storage and processing system to enhance the capacity for analysing and publishing institutional information. Add tenders Activity
To develop models using Learning Analytics techniques to provide a holistic view of the student through predictive analysis, enabling the identification of when intervention is needed in various situations, such as preventing student drop-out. Add tenders

  • Title: Dataware House
  • SummaryCurrently, UPNA has a data analysis and exploitation system (data warehouse) based on the MicroStrategy tool.  The system is in the early stages of development. As part of this course of action, the plan named DATUPNA will be developed and implemented with the aim of advancing our data storage and processing system to enhance the capacity for analysing and publishing institutional information.
  • Budget: € 150,600

  • Title: Learning Analytics
  • Summary: Another area of this DATUPNA project is to develop models using Learning Analytics techniques to provide a holistic view of the student through predictive analysis, enabling the identification of when intervention is needed in various situations, such as preventing student drop-out. Learning Analytics uses machine learning techniques through the measurement, collection, analysis, and reporting of data about students and their contexts, with the aim of understanding and optimising learning and the environments in which it occurs.
