Retraining Plan SUE (Spanish University System)

 

The 'Retraining of the Spanish University System' programme, aimed at Spanish public universities, is regulated by Royal Decree 289/2021 of 20 April and Order UNI/551/2021 of 26 May. These regulations provide for the direct offer of grants to public universities for the retraining of the Spanish university system and allocate the investment C21.I4 for the training and development of teaching and research staff within Component 21 of the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan (PRTR).

  • Name: Grants for retraining within the Spanish university system of Public University of Navarre.
  • Summary: This is an investment aimed at the retraining of the Spanish university system through the promotion of training for its young PhD holders, encouraging the mobility of its teaching and research staff for the retraining of both tenured and contracted, and attracting international talent. 

    The objective is to support retraining, international mobility, and talent attraction within the Spanish university system by offering grants for training placements at prestigious foreign universities and research centres, as well as at Spanish universities and other public institutions within the Spanish System of Science, Technology and Innovation. Likewise, grants will be awarded to universities so they may attract international talent
  • Budget: € 2,772,873

Modality 1: Margarita Salas grants

Summary: The purpose of these grants is to provide training for young PhD holders through placements at a Spanish public university, at foreign universities and research centres, or at Spanish public research institutions different from the one where they obtained their doctoral degree.

Grants awarded: 25 grants

 

Modality 2: Grants to Retrain university teaching staff

Summary: The goal of these grants is the retraining of tenured or contracted university teaching staff through training placements at a university or research centre other than the one with which they are currently employed.

Grants awarded: 12 grants

 

Modality 3: María Zambrano Grants

Summary: The purpose of these grants is to attract teaching and research staff to Public University of Navarre with post-doctoral experience gained at foreign universities or research centres.
