Ranking: The World University Rankings. IMPACT

Detail ranking: Worldwide university rankings of Times Higher Education (THE) 2023 include over 1799 universities in 104 countries and regions. The table is based on 13 performance indicators carefully weighed which measure the performance of an institution in four areas: teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international perspective.

Ranking Impact. Since 2019, THE assesses universities according to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). It does so through 17 tables.

Ranking: Fundación Haz

Result: Global ranking: Transparent

Detail ranking: Haz Foundation (formerly Fundación Compromiso y Transparencia (Commitment and Transparency Foundation)) analyses the transparency and good governance practices of Spanish public and private universities’ websites – that is to say, the effort to spread and publish the institution’s relevant information. In order to do so, the information of a number of areas is analysed – a series of indicators are established to assess the reporting carried out.

According to the points achieved, universities are ranked transparent (more than 40 points out of a total of 54), translucent (between 30 and 39 points) and opaque (less than 30 points).

In the report Examen de Transparencia (Transparency Test) 2021, which is the latest one published on universities, Public University of Navarre obtained 50 points (93% of compliance) thanks to 24 indicators showing full compliance, two more granted one point each and one indicator with zero points. This is an improvement compared to the latest edition of the report, in 2019, when the academic institution was ranked transparent as it obtained 41 points out of a total of 54.

This way, Public University of Navarre has obtained the “t de transparente*** (t for transparent)” seal, the highest one granted by Haz Foundation to those academic institutions with a compliance level between 90 and 100% with transparency and good governance indicators.

Ranking: Dyntra

Result: Position spanish univ.: 24

Detail ranking: Dyntra develops a collaborative platform aiming at measuring the public information of governments, public administrations, political parties, elected office holders and the various social actors in a dynamic, efficient, transparent and open manner.

The management and filling-in of such indexes is carried out from the technological platform www.dyntra.org, through which it is possible to fill in an open form regarding the level of fulfilment in relation to the standards shown in the index within the typology of public institution and the framework of the government.

In the case of universities, it requires the fulfilment of 169 indicators gathered in five large areas: institutional transparency, public communication, citizens’ participation and collaboration, economic and financial transparency and hiring of services.

In its 2024 edition, Public University of Navarre meets 119 of the 169 assessed indicators, which means a level of fulfilment of 70.41% and places it in position 24 out of 77 analysed universities.

Ranking: UI GreenMetric

Detail ranking: The World University Ranking UI GreenMetric is a ranking on green campuses and environmental sustainability started by University of Indonesia in 2010.

This ranking aims at assessing the current situation and the policies related to Green Campus and Sustainability in universities all over the world. Its goal is to raise awareness on the fight against climate change in the world, energy and water conservation, waste recycling and eco-friendly transport. Universities at the top in this sense must be recognisable, so numeric data from hundreds of universities all over the world are gathered and processed to obtain a single score that shows the efforts made by the institution to implement sustainable and environmentally-friendly policies and programmes.

In order to rank them, 6 criteria are being followed: Surroundings and Infrastructure (SI), Energy and Climate Change (EC), Waste (WS), Water (WR), Transport (TR) and Education (ED), and 39 indicators within. For more information click here.
