Time scheme and continuity

  • Full-time: the degree will last for four years at most from the doctoral student’s registration date to the doctoral thesis’ defence date.
  • Part-time: the Academic Commission may authorise students to carry out the programme for seven years at most from the registration date.
  • People with a degree of disability greater than or equal to 33%:  the duration of doctoral degree will be six years at most full-time, and nine years part-time.
  • Other cases: people who are temporarily disabled, birth, adoption, guardianship with the purpose of adopting, risk during breastfeeding and gender-based violence or any other situation established in the regulations in force during the time period aforementioned will interrupt the time count for the duration limit of doctoral degrees.
