Thesis deposit
Before defending your thesis you must apply for authorisation to deposit it
Before applying you must prove that:
- You meet the common core requirements
- You have completed 100 HEF (hours equivalent to training) of thematic training activities
- You have completed 30 HEF (hours equivalent to training) of cross-curricular training activities
Before applying for thesis authorization, if you want to request any mention to the doctoral degree, remember to check that you have the documentation detailed below.
At the moment to request authorisation to deposit the thesis, the doctoral student must submit the following documents:
- Cross this option on the application form for thesis deposit authorisation
- Reference to the official call if carried out within that framework
- Official document supporting the application (company contract, OTRI agreement [Office of Research Outcome Transfer])
- Application to be eligible for the Industrial Doctorate mention
- Report signed by their thesis supervisor/s, by the person in charge appointed by the company and by the President of the Academic Commission of the Programme, on the end of the research project carried out and its link with the thesis developed
- Updated work history report
The Doctoral School may request the additional reports it deems necessary
When applying for thesis deposit authorisation, you must submit the following documents:
- Certificate issued by the foreign higher education or research centre, mentioning the stay the previous paragraph refers to. The start and finish date of the stay must appear in the certificate
- Reports of the thesis supervisor or supervisors and the Academic Commission of the programme regarding the application
- The foreign language chose for the thesis defence will be specified in the application
The Doctoral School of Navarre will decide and notify the person in question, the thesis supervisor or supervisors and the Academic Commission of the doctoral programme whether the mention is applicable or not.
If you are eligible for the jointly supervised thesis mention, you must submit the following documents when applying for thesis deposit authorisation:
- Cross this option on the application form for thesis deposit authorisation
- Submit the document according to the provisions established on the agreement signed in each case
If you are eligible for the modality compendium of publications, you must:
- Cross this option on the application form for thesis deposit authorisation
- Attach the thesis presentation application in modality compendium of publications
- Include the renunciation of non-doctor co-authors to use the publications in their theses
If you are eligible for the confidentiality regime, you must:
- Cross this option on the application form for thesis deposit authorisation
- Official document supporting the application (patent, company contract, OTRI agreement [Office of Research Outcome Transfer], type of data included in the work...)
- Version of the full thesis
- Version of the censored thesis
- Report by the supervisor justifying the request
- Special requirement, if applicable, regarding the demand to have published a paper about the doctoral thesis.
Subsequently, you must request authorization from the Academic Commission to deposit your thesis.
Once authorization is granted, the doctoral student must deposit an electronic copy of the doctoral thesis within 10 working days via the electronic registry, after paying the corresponding public fees.
Thesis defence
Within a maximum period of three months from the day following the appointment of the Tribunal, the secretary will communicate to EDONA the convening of the defence act.
Once the grade has been issued, you may request the doctoral degree and apply for extraordinary doctoral awards.
