Alexander Karp (Columbia University) teaches the seminar
On 20 October 2021 Alexander Karp (Columbia University) visited the Department of Mathematics and Physics at Roma Tre University to teach the seminar "Meaning and rhythm behind comic hieroglyphics".
The seminar discussed the role and position of the problem-based approach in school mathematics. Despite the very positive rhetoric, this methodology is rather rare in the classroom, so both theoretical and practical issues were addressed based on the speaker's experience as a textbook author, teacher and teacher trainer, as well as the analysis of historical and theoretical sources.
