Francisco Idareta is doctor of Social Work at the Public University of Navarre (PUNa) with Extraordinary Doctorate Prize. He has published over fifty articles in various important Spanish and international magazines, together with several books and book chapters for internationally recognised publishers. He has previously been a social worker for several years and is currently working as a tenured associate professor in the Department of Sociology and Social Work (PUNa) and as a vocal of Deontology Commission in the General Council of Social Work of Spain.
He has two six-year research terms recognised and his main line of research are the Social Work Ethics and the Social Work Deontology: methodologies of the resolution of ethic dilemmas in social intervention, the creation and validation of tools for measuring the ethical conduct of professionals, the drawing up of ethical protocols and ethical auditing, advising ethical committees, the approximation of ethical and epistemological theories to social intervention, the history of the Ethics of Social Work,...
