Dr. Alba Agustin was born in Plasencia (Cáceres, Spain), in 1981. She is an Assistant Professor of Applied Optimization, and Statistics in the Statistics and Operational Research Department at the Public University of Navarra (UPNA).
Dr. Agustin holds a Ph.D. in Mathematical Optimization (University Rey Juan Carlos), and a M.S. in Decision Engineering (University Rey Juan Carlos), and Doctorate courses in Statistic/Mathematic and Computational Methods for Information Treatment (University Complutense Madrid). She completed predoctoral internship at Biccoca University (Italy), as well as postdoctoral internship at Open University of Catalonia (Spain) and Erasmus teaching at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (Austria).
Her research interests in applied mathematics include Routing and Scheduling Optimization. She has published peer-reviewed papers in international journals, book chapters and proceedings regarding this area. She has participated from different workshops, conferences and projects such as Atlantida, Harosa and Optimos.
Dr. Agustin has been Lecturer in the Rey Juan Carlos University from 2007 to 2011 and in the Public University of Navarra from 2011 to nowadays. During those periods she taught courses of statistics, simulation and optimization in the technical computing engineering, industrial engineering and economics and business administration Ms and degrees.
