Antonio Gómez Gómez-Plana (Cádiz,1967) graduated with honours in Business & Economics at the School of Business and Economics (Basque Country University, Bilbao, 1990). He got a Research grant from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Navarre) while being senior undergraduate student. There, he completed a period of research on international trade and regional integration effects. Later, he got an Assistant Professor position at the Public University of Navarre (Department of Economics). He completed his PhD under the advising of Prof. Oscar Bajo-Rubio, with the thesis entitled "Effects of the European Single Market on the Spanish Economy: A Computational General Equilibrium Analysis".
He is Associate Professor in Applied Economics since 2003 at the Public University of Navarra. His research is focused in general equilibrium effects of public policies and trade policies. He uses computational general equilibrium models to simulate effects due to changes in taxes, environmental policies, foreign direct investment and other issues. He also builds databases for these models. He has been doing long periods of research at University of Colorado and University of Idaho (USA).
He has an extensive experience in national and international professors and students mobility management as Vice Dean and coordinator for more than ten years in the School of Economics & Business at Public University of Navarre. He has also been Head of Students during 2015 and 2016 at Public University of Navarre.
