Paloma Fernández-Rasines received her Ph. D. in Social Anthropology from the University of The Basque Country, 1998. Before entering Public University of Navarre she taught at Duke University. Her main interests focuses on anthropology of kinship, relatedness and parenting. Her research has also addressed LGBTQI Studies, Gender and Migration issues.

She coordinates international relations and mobility for Social Work studies. She teaches through Spanish and English and has been trained on CLIL and EMI teaching methodologies for Higher Education. In 2016 she was awarded an Erasmus Plus Grant to the seminar "English Medium Instruction for University Lecturers”, Department of Education, University of Oxford, UK.
