Ana F Militino. I have a major degree in Mathematics at the University of Zaragoza. I am doctor in Statistics by the University of Extremadura. I have been working in “Gobierno Vasco” Vasco and “Gobierno de Navarra” and later, I become associate professor at the Public University of Navarre. Since 2007 I am full professor of this university, where I teach Statistics in Engineering School. I was visiting Oxford University in 1994 and Simon Fraser University in Vancouver in 1997 and 1998. I also made short visits in Mendoza University, Appalacchian State University and Texas A & M. I have been giving talks in many countries all over the word. In 2010 I received the “John Griffiths teaching award” given by “Mathematical Geology” association. She has written more than 7 textbooks. The latest, entitled "Probability and Statistics with R" was edited by Taylor and Francis. I published more than 60 papers in journals of the Journal Citation Report, and supervised 6 doctoral thesis, and master degrees. Nowadays, I am the head of the research group “Spatial Statistics” at the Public University of Navarre. I have participated in many research projects of the Public Administration and Private Companies.
