Mónica Cortiñas Ugalde (Pamplona, 1974) is a Full Professor of Marketing and Market Research at the Public University of Navarra (UPNA) and a researcher at the INARBE Institute. She holds a degree and a PhD in Business Administration and Management from UPNA and has served as the Director of the Strategic Planning Area at this institution since 2015.
Her research focuses on digital marketing, consumer behavior, artificial intelligence applied to marketing, and human-computer interaction. She has authored over 30 articles in high-impact international scientific journals and has participated in 13 competitive research projects, leading two funded by the Spanish State Research Plan. She has supervised three doctoral theses and actively participates in international research networks. From 2015 to 2021, she served as a board member of the Spanish Association for Academic and Professional Marketing. Her research contributions have been recognized with three research assessment periods (“sexenios”).
In the academic field, she teaches courses in the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration and has been responsible for subjects such as Marketing Management I, Information Systems, and Market Research. In academic administration, in addition to her role as Director of the Strategic Planning Area since 2015, she has held other positions, such as Member of the Academic Committee of the Doctoral Program in Economics, Business, and Law (2020-2024), Quality Assurance Manager for the Master's in Business Administration and Management, and Head of the Marketing and Market Research Knowledge Area. She is also a member of the Events Committee, the Steering Committee of the Equality Plan, and has been a member of the University Senate since 2008.
