Bachelor and PhD in Materials Physics from the Complutense University of Madrid in 1988 and 1992, respectively. Her doctoral thesis, carried out at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC, Institute of Materials Science), was focused on the study of magnetic properties and applications of ferromagnetic amorphous wires. In 1995 she joined the Public University of Navarra as a Full Professor, obtaining the position of Full Professor in the area of Applied Physics in 2011.
The teaching activity has been mainly focused on physics subjects in UPNa Engineering degrees. In terms of the research activity, it has been mainly devoted to the study of magnetic properties and applications of nanostructured magnetic materials, including the study of amorphous, nanocrystalline and nanoparticle systems. She is the co-author of more than 130 papers published in international journals of the JCR (Journal Citation Reports) and has participated in different national and international projects directly related to the study of nanostructured magnetic materials.
Finally, regarding her management activities at the Public University of Navarra, she was deputy director of the Area of Scientific-Technological Infrastructures and Research Support (Vice-Rectorate for Research), head of the Department of Physics and director of the research Institute INAMAT2 (Institute for Advanced Materials and Mathematics).
