During oncology treatment, nurse care is essential for the well-being of the patients. Their field of activity comprises all the stages of the oncologic therapy: health prevention, diagnosis, and treatment in all its aspects: chemotherapy, radiotherapy, immunotherapy, surgery (pre, intra and postoperative periods) and palliative care.
A complete, up-to-date training of nurses in the fields of oncology and hematology is essential in today’s fast-changing world of scientific and technical advances to provide a safe, quality, patient-centred treatment.
Our Specialist Diploma in nursing care of oncology patients is clinic-based: apart from theoretical training taught by specialised teachers, the course includes a professional internship period in the Public Hospital of Navarre and Hospital San Juan de Dios.
