PLANNING TRAINING: DOCUMENT OF ACTIVITIES
The combination of knowledge, skills and abilities previously mentioned should guarantee the acquisition of the competences required for a Doctorate. This combination must be facilitated in such a way that completion of the training programme in the three main fields –common core, subject-specific training and transversal training- achieves this objective.
PhD students must complete the activities in the Common Core and the equivalent of 150 hours of formal training activities: 100 Subject-specific training hours and 50 Transversal training hours. Equivalence is calculated on the basis of the real work load, taking whether an evaluation needs to be passed for the activities into account. The EDONA Management Committee will define the criteria by which a value in hours is assigned to the activities included in the calendar.
