How to get to Pamplona
Pamplona is a cosmopolitan city in the north of Spain well connected with all the other towns in Navarra, and with the major cities in the neighbouring provinces. It is located at 407 km from Madrid, 450 km from Barcelona and 174 km from Zaragoza.
By car
Main highways:
- North - the A15 motorway from San Sebastian or Vitoria (1 hour).
- East - the A12 motorway from Logroño (50 minutes)
- South - the AP15 + A68 motorway from Zaragoza (2 hours)
- West - the A21 motorway from Jaca (Pyrenees) (1 ½ h).
You may use the hotel parking (15.40 €/ day) or you may use a public parking in Calle del Río Arga (10 minutes walking from the conference venue) or other parking lots, as for example Plaza del Castillo (from 2.5 €/hour).
By Plane
The Pamplona Airport (Noain Airport), is located in the vicinity of Pamplona (at 9 km from the Hotel Catedral de Pamplona). You can phone to 34 913 21 10 00 or check the web www.aena.es
- There is a taxi stand in front of the airport. It takes around 20 minutes from the airport to the city center.
- There is a regular bus line, line A, that connects the airport to the bus station (in the town center) and the railway station (at the outskirts). It has a frequency of 1 hour from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. In order to get to the conference venue, the most convenient bus stop is Taconera (Iglesia San Lorenzo). There is a 10 minutes walking from this bus stop to the conference venue.
In the opposite direction, from the stop Taconera (Bosquecillo) to the airport, the time schedule is 5:40, 7:39, 8:37... until 9:37 pm. The bus tour takes approximately 25 minutes.
By Train
The railway station is located in the San Jorge district, not far from the downtown, and has regular train connections with Barcelona, Madrid, Zaragoza and other cities in Spain.

- There is a taxi stand in front of the railway station. It takes around 10 minutes from the train station to the city center.
- There is a regular bus line that connects the railway station with the bus station and the airport (line A). Every hour from 7:30 to 21:30 there is a bus from the railway station to the airport; to go to the hotel it is convenient to use the bus stop Taconera (Bosquecillo) (approximately 7 minutes from the train station). There is a 10 minutes walking from this bus stop to the conference venue.
In the opposite direction, that is, from the bus stop Taconera (iglesia San Lorenzo) to the railway station, the schedule is 5:40, 7:39, 8:37... until 9:37 pm. The bus tour takes approximately 25 minutes.
- There is another regular bus line (line 9) which connects the railway station with the Universidad Publica de Navarra (UPNA); every 10 minutes from 7:30 to 21:20 (from 21:35 to 22:50 every 15 minutes); in order to get to the conference venue, the most convenient bus stop is Navas de Tolosa nº13 (at approximately 15 minutes walking from the conference venue).
In the opposite direction, that is, from the bus stop C/ Navas de Tolosa (C/ San Antón) to the railway station, the schedule is from 8:12 to 21:12 every 10 minutes (from 6:42 to 7:57 and from 21:27 to 22:42 every 15 minutes). The bus tour takes approximately 23 minutes.
