The instruments that permit to develop our activities and services are describe next:
Differential scanning calorimetry is a thermal analysis technique consisting on the measurement of the heat exchange required to keep the sample and a reference at the same temperature during temperature ramps or in isothermal measurements. The observed temperature difference translates into heat flow allowing the measurement of endothermic and exothermic transitions. In this way, physical properties as glass transitions, phase changes (melting, crystallization), product stability, and cure kinetics can be measured. In this sense, DSC is a very useful characterization technique in different types of materials as polymers, pharmaceuticals, organic and inorganic products or metallic and magnetic alloys.
Practical testing machine with 50 kN of maximum load capacity. The loading method is direct and with constant rate-strain control using non-backlash precision ball-screw drive. It incorporates a data processing software.
