María Camino Leránoz Istúriz has a degree in Mathematics from the Universidad de Zaragoza (1981) and a PhD from the University of Missouri-Columbia with the thesis "Uniqueness of Unconditional Bases in Quasi-Banach Spaces" (1990).
She has worked at the departments of Mathematics of the Colegio Universitario de La Rioja (now Universidad de La Rioja), the University of Missouri-Columbia (USA) and, since 1990, at the Universidad Pública de Navarra.
She has taught undergraduate Math courses to students of Mathematics, Physics and Engineering. She has also taught graduate courses in doctoral and master programs. She currently teaches in Engineering Degrees.
Her research is framed in the field of Functional Analysis, and has focused on the study of geometry and structure of Quasi-Banach spaces. She is a member of the INAMAT (Institute for Research in Advanced Materials).
She has been director of the Department of Mathematics and a member of the Consejo de Gobierno.
