Facilities & Support Services
Before starting the SUSTAGRI programme, the UPNA, as the coordinating partner, will provide support in arranging accomodation, visa and how to open a bank account.
Students registered in the SUSTAGRI Programme will have full access to all the Partners´ academic, welfare and other support services.
Students with disabilities
The programme is open to applicants with special needs. In case of selection, the Consortium can give support to students with disabilities (e.g. long-term physical, mental intelectual or sensory impairments) by acquiring special items or services, such as assistance by third persons, medical assistance, supportive equipment, travel/transportation assistance, etc., through the Diversity and Inclusion Unit, an office in charge of offering social and inclusive programmes and seeking solutions for students with special educational needs. This offer is available to all enrolled students, Erasmus Mundus scholarship holders, tuition fee free, and self-funded students.
- General conditions
The additional support allocated under the Erasmus Mundus grant will cover the individual needs of enrolled students up to a certain maximum if they fulfill the general eligibility conditions and according to the unit costs as established by the EACEA.
The amounts are calculated for the duration of the two years of the program.
The applicable unit cost will be identified as the rate corresponding to or immediately lower than the estimated expenses. This unit cost is a contribution and may not cover the total amount of actual costs.
General information about this additional financial support offered by erasmus Mundus programmes.
- Procedure
Applicants who believe they may be eligible for these funds should contact the SUSTAGRI coordination team, once they have been selected, via the following email address: sustagri.em@unavarra.es
— Certification by a competent authority of the long-term impairment
— A signed declaration stating that:
- Special needs funding costs are needed and that the participation in the programme would not be possible without this support
- Special needs items or services were not already covered from another source.
— A signed funding request with a list of special needs items and/or services and their estimated costs (e.g. medication, equipment, additional services, etc.)
Bank Account
Since you are receiving a Scholarship, you will need to provide the SUSTAGRI staff with the information related to your bank account.
- The students should open a bank account in Spain. UPNA has an agreement with a bank that allows our students to open bank accounts free of charge.
Immigration documents
Student visa
Citizens and residents of the European Union do not require a visa to enter in Spain. With an identity card or passport they may live in Spain as long as they want. However, as long as they are going to live in Spain for more than three months, they will have to apply for an EU Citizen Registration Certificate upon arrival.
Citizens of the rest the world need a visa in their passport if they are going to stay more than 90 days in Spain. The student visa is processed directly at the Consulates. The university will provide a letter of admission to the master's degree in order to obtain the student visa.
The SUSTAGRI Consortium assists students with their visa applications. They must apply for a student visa before leaving their country of residence, and they are obliged to go personally to the Spanish Consulate to submit the required documentation. Visas are not issued in Spain. Trying to enter Spain without a necessary student visa will likely lead to refusal, and no emergency procedure is available. Your country of origin embassy in Spain, cannot assist in this matter.
