He was granted a Bachelor’s degree in English Philology by the University of Barcelona in 1999 and Master’s degree in Tourism from the Public University of Navarre in 2002. He has also received a Certificate of Aptitude in English (CEFR C1) by Barcelona-Drassanes Official Language School and Certificate of Aptitude in French (CEFR C1) by Official Language School of Tudela. He has taken courses in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) in the Spanish Open University (UNED) and with the Navarese Department of Education.
Lasheras carried out his professional teaching career as an English and French Secondary teacher in several Secondary Schools in the region of Navarre as well as currently working as an English teacher and tutor in the Spanish National Open University of Tudela (UNED).
His research interests are in the field of applied linguistics and second language acquisition (SLA) related to English and more specifically, the acquisition of syntax. Another of his research fields is language attitude and motivation towards the learning of English as a second language.
