Hardware Engineer
(Electrical & Mechatronic Components)
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership and mentor personnel within the department.
- Develop, maintain and communicate hardware/system development content and timing
- Responsible for the hardware/systems products developed
- Lead technical discussions, prepare, present, act with customers.
- Assigned to programs/projects to provide technical guidance
- Develop and track hardware projects
- Support meetings with cross functional project team, hardware/test team, and customers as needed.
- Support quotation process with technical knowledge of designs to meet specifications and requirements
- Analog/digital circuit design involving worst case analysis utilizing Mathcad and Pspice simulation
- Work with PCB designers on EMC optimization
- Support development of production test specification.
- Develop performance and test specifications from design requirements
- Select and source production-appropriate components as needed
- Audit designs for EMC, safety, manufacturability, reliability and test
- Supervise production test development
- Perform system integration debug and testing
- Support production transfer
- Support Risk Analysis
Essential requirements:
- University degree or similar in electronic engineering or information technology
- Several years of professional experience as Lead Electronic Hardware Engineer
- Verifiable automotive customer experience
- Knowledge in DOORS and Polarion
- Best analytic skills
- Best organisation and communication skills
- SPICE-Process knowledge
- Fluent in English
Additional advantage would be:
- Knowledge of other languages (German preferred)
- Experience in designing similar components especially in the automotive industry
