ANFOMAM GIVES A WORKSHOP IN THE VI MATHEMATICS TEACHING CONFERENCE IN NAVARRA

ANFoMAM participated in the VI Mathematics Teaching Conference in Navarra (8-9 November 2019) conducting a workshop for teachers of Pre-Primary and Primary Education.

For two hours they discussed about the need of representing correctly the problems proposed in the classroom.The statements of the problems called "letter problems" are not easy for a large part of the students to understand, which is a difficulty when working with arithmetic problems in school classrooms. Consequently, different representations (corporal, verbal and graphic) were proposed in the workshop to contribute to the understanding of the problems.
