PYRENEES4CLIMA "Towards a climate-resilient cross-border mountain community in the Pyrenees" is a project approved by the European Union within the LIFE programme that aims to have a climate-resilient cross-border mountain area in the Pyrenees.

The project has three sepecific objectives:

  1. Improving the resilience of the Pyrenees to climate change as a substantial element to also improve resilience in territories connected to or dependent on ecosystem services.
  2. Catalyse actions to demonstrate resilience to climate change in mountain areas in the 5 identified systems.
  3. Strengthen the implementation of European policies, Spanish, French and Andorran state climate policies and regional climate strategies in the Pyrenees through territorial cooperation.

Lead by the Pyrenees Climate Change Observatory, OPCC, the projects has 46 Spanish, French and Andorran partners, including UPNA.
