PRESENTATION  

You feel fear when speaking in public? Would you like to feel confident in this type of situations?
Sometimes there is no choice and we have to speak in public.  If you have to present ideas, a project, sell a product, present your company, chair or participate in  a meeting , give a speech, participate in a congress, deliver a training course… you have to be ready for the event.  The good news is that speak in public is a learnable skill.
Every time you present to someone it forms an impression, giving you the potential for gain or loss. Being able to stand up and speak confidently to an audience is an essential life and professional skill. If your goal is to make winning presentations at work or you will learn how to be memorable for the right reasons.

You’ll learn how to handle presentation fears and nerves, how to understand your audience – what they know and how they think and feel, how to make a memorable impression, how to open a presentation and connect with your audience and how to look and sound confident through your face, body and voice. You’ll also learn when and how to use (and not use) tools such as PowerPoint and how to handle questions and think and speak on your feet.

OBJECTIVES

At the end of the course the participants will be able to:

• Discover and take advantage of their  personal skills
• Acquire public presentation skills
• Overcome fears and anxiety
• Use English effectively in oral communication
• Be ready to present their ideas

PROGRAM

This presentation skills training course covers the following topics:

• How to handle presentation fears and nerves, understanding your own attitude toward public speaking and developing the appreciation for the characteristics of effective presenters
• How to understand your audience
• Planning the basic structure of your presentation, specific vocabulary for each section.
• Using your audience understanding to form the key message you want the audience to remember
• How to open, connect and close powerfully
• How to choose the content, creative tools, mind maps
• How to look and sound confident, making your presentation convincing
• Last tendencies in slides design, when and how to use, and not use, PowerPoint, Prezi, using the right kind of visuals
• How to manage the time
• The importance of the body language, posture, gesture, breathing, eye contact
• Diaphragmatic breathing
• The use of voice
• How to avoid “petwords”, deliver a clear speech
• How to handle questions and think and speak on your feet
• Presentation Skills secrets of the great presenters like Steve Jobs and Barack Obama…..
• How to analyse a great presentation
 

METODOLOGY

The program starts with the identification of existing knowledge and difficulties participants currently face, moves on to building skills and techniques..
Theoretical presentations reinforced with audiovisual aids and exercises designed to get all the participants involved such as interactive tasks, vocabulary work, video watching, teamwork, simulations, and feedback. Everything together will help participants to bridge the gap between “Knowing and Doing” inspiring enthusiasm for learning.
The final task is voluntarily video recorded and the participants will received the one of the most important tools for learning, constructive feedback from their colleagues and also from the trainer, making the participants to be aware of their strengths and improvement areas in real-life situations prior to actually applying them at work thus having a productive impact on the company.
