The DECYL group (Data, Statistics, Quality and Logistics) was established in 1994 within the Statistics and Operation Research department of the Public University of Navarre, Spain. 13 staff members, including a doctorate student.

Its research is based on the following lines that, sometimes, generate synergies among them.

• Simulation & Optimization Models
• Logistic and Transport
• Probability and Stochastic Processes
• Data Mining
• Algebraic statistics

Over the last years, the group has published more than seventy international papers, twenty conference contributions in these topics and its members are responsible or collaborate on several research projects funded by the Government of Spain. Furthermore, the group has collaborated, through research contracts, with major national and multinational companies.
