Functional Safety Engineer
(Electrical & Mechatronic Components)
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain all functional safety relevant internal and external interfaces
- Definition of project deliverables and relevant work products as required by ISO 26262
- Planning and tracking of work packages and tasks in accordance with the safety plan and project plan
- Performing safety analysis and verify the results, support development team
- Performing hazardous analyze and verify the results, support development team
- Take a part in DFMEA
- Define ASIL level and relevant requirements to hardware and software.
- Support design in the direction to fulfill safety requirements, considering costs and competitiveness of the product
- Responsibility for planning and execution of all design reviews related to safety area including audits and assessments
Essential requirements:
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in technical field (Electrical, Electronics, Software or comparable)
- Knowledge of Software Engineering (preferred experience in embedded system design / system testing)
- At least three years of experience in safety management in automotive industry
- Mentoring and communications skills
- Communication skills in English allowing fluent communication
- Ability to work in one team with specialists from different fields and creative problems solving
- Openness to the challenges and development
- Knowledge of Doors and development tools for requirement management (e.g.: Polarion)
Additional advantage would be:
- Experience in working with Road Vehicles Functional Safety standard ISO 26262 or similar Functional Safety standards for Electrical/Electronic Architecture
- Proven track on safety analysis methods (FTA, FMEDA)
- Experience in leading of projects from automotive industry
- Knowledge of other languages (German preferred)
