Iñigo Liberal received the Engineering, M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in telecommunication engineering from the Public University of Navarra (UPNA), Spain, in 2009, 2010, and 2013, respectively. He has been a visiting student at Delft University of Technology (Delft, The Netherlands), and a visiting researcher at Aalto University (Espoo, Finland), the University of Arizona (Tucson, US), and the Institute of Material Science of Madrid (ICMM-CSIC).

From 2014 to 2017, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, US). Since 2017 he is a Juan de la Cierva fellow at the Antenna Group Public University of Navarra (UPNA).

His current research interests include quantum optics, antenna systems and nanophotonics.
