Juan F. FRANCO PUEYO
Born in Zaragoza (Spain) in 1962. Bachelor in Business & Economics (1987, University of Zaragoza)
Ph. D. courses ( Economics and Management Department, University of Zaragoza)
Master in Economics, 1992 Boston College (USA).
Research Assistant in the Russian Research Centre of Harvard University under the direction of Pr. Pelzman and in the School of Management and Economic Studies of Sheffield University (UK), working with Prof. Tylecote.
Assistant Professor in 1992 at the Management Department in the Public University of Navarra (Spain)
Ph. D in Economics & Business in 1994 at the Management Department of the Public University of Navarra (Spain), with the Thesis: " Modelling Household Behavior in Municipal Solid Waste Recycling Programs ", directed by Pr. Emilio Huerta.
Awards: Best Ph. D Thesis in Social Sciences during the period 1984-
His research interests are focused in the field of Environmental Management and Industrial Organization. He has participated in an important number of research projects in Harvard, Sheffield, Zaragoza, and Barcelona Universities. The results of his research have been presented in Conferences and published in national and international journals.
He has collaborated with the main local Institutions as an advisor in the field of Environmental Management in Navarra.
Since 1996 he is Permanent Lecturer of Organization and Business Management at the Management Department in the Public University of Navarra (Spain).
He has been Vice-Director of the Department, member of the Ph. D Commission, Coordinator of International Relations of the Faculty of Economics & Business Administration, and Advisor for the Access Exam to the University.
From July of 1999 to July of 2003 was designed as Vice-Rector of Institutional and International Relations of the Public University of Navarra. During this period he was President of the Foundation Estanislao de Aranzadi, Board member of the Foundation University-Society and of the Navarrian Council for Cooperation Development, and member of the Executive Board of the Spanish University Council for International Relations.
In February of 2004 was elected Dean of the Faculty of Economics & Business Administration of the Public University of Navarra and in September of the same year Advisor for International Relations of the National Agency of Quality Assessment, representing to the Agency in international organizations such as UNESCO, WTO, or OECD.
From September 2007 is Director-General for International Development of the Government of Navarra, member of the Transfers Commission, represents to Navarra in the Coordinators Commission of UE Affairs and in the Coordination Committee of the Work Community of the
