Iñigo Ederra Urzainqui obtained the Telecommunication Engineer degree and his PhD on Telecommunication Engineering from the Public University of Navarra in 1996 and 2004 respectively.
In 1997 he joined the Microwave and Millimetric Waves Group at the Public University of Navarra. Between February 1999 and September 2000, thanks to an FPI grant from the Ministry of Education and Science, he carried out a stay in the "Antenna Section" of ESA-ESTEC (The Netherlands), where he was involved in the modelling and design of microwave and millimeter wave PBG structures. In October 2000 he joined the Antenna Group of the Public University of Navarra. From June to October 2003 he took part in the "Startiger I" project, carried out at Rutherford Appleton Laboratory (United Kingdom). In October 2003 he was appointed Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the Public University of Navarra. Since May 2009 he is Associate Professor at the same university, becoming Full Professor in 2022.
His research lines include: Application of metamaterials and metasurfaces in antennas; Millimetric and THz frequency receivers; THz applications.
