Agricultural Engineering degree from the University of Lleida (UdL) and PhD in Agricultural Engineering from the Public University of Navarra (UPNA). She has completed research stays at the ENSA (National School of Agriculture and Food Sciences) in Toulouse (France), the UdL, and the University of Navarra-CIMA. In 1998, she joined the Plant Production knowledge area at the UPNA, where she actually holds a Full Professor position.
She belongs to the "Agrobiotechnology" research group, which works at the Institute for Multidisciplinary Research in Applied Biology (IMAB). Her main lines of research are: genetic transformation of plants, biofactory plants for the production of biopharmaceutical compounds and vaccines, redox regulation in plants, biostimulants and biocontrol agents. Principal investigator of three research projects and collaborator on other projects, she is the author of more than 30 scientific articles published in high-impact journals and two biotechnology patents.
Her teaching activity has focused on plant production, horticultural crops, and plant biotechnology in the official degrees offered at the School of Agricultural Engineering and Biosciences (ETSIAB) at UPNA. She has supervised three doctoral theses, 10 master's theses/final projects, and more than 40 final degree projects.
She was Academic Secretary of the Department of Agricultural Production from 2010 to 2012, Deputy Director of ETSIAB and head of the Degree in Agri-Food and Rural Environment Engineering from 2012 to 2015, Director of the Degree Management and Quality Area of the Vice-Rectorate for Teaching from 2015 to 2019, and Vice-Rector for Teaching at the UPNA from 2019 to 2025.
