SUMMARY
The course teaches you how to handle time series of satellite images in your local computer through a novel R package called ‘rsat’. This course covers the basics of multispectral satellite images from open access constellations as Modis, Landsat, and Sentinel. You will learn how to search, preview, download, crop, and plot images for your region of interest. You will understand rsat design to better deal with large datasets. There are no pre-requisites for this course and we will avoid all but the simplest operations. Anyone with moderate computer experience, or remote sensing background should be able to master the materials of this course. Once students complete the course, they will be ready to create their own ready-to-use dataset of satellite images from multiple sources.
Instructors: Unai Pérez-Goya y Manuel Montesino-San Martín (INAMAT2 - Dpto de Estadística, Informática y Matemáticas - UPNA)
