School coexistence is a complex concept which depends on many social, psychological and educational factors. It is currently a fundamental educational task for an inclusive school. Furthermore, people are aware of the importance of learning good behavior towards others to prevent problems such as school bullying or gender violence.
School coexistence implies looking at all the interpersonal relationships in the educational community. This means understanding coexistence not only as absence of violence but as a place where all the educational community members learn to live together and where communication and respect and value of diversity are given a fundamental role.
We cannot forget the essential challenge now facing formal, compulsory education: digital literacy for all who intervene in education. Digital literacy is necessary to cope with the transformations ICT are bringing about in all the different aspects of our lives: relationships, communication, learning, satisfying our curiosity, leisure and entertainment. The new cybercitizens need to know about cyber coexistence, this new setting of coexistence on the Internet.
