I teach Second Language Acquisition at the Secondary Education MA program and English as a Foreign Language (EFL) and phonetics in undergraduate courses at the UPNA (teaching evaluation mark of last 5 years: 9.28/10). I also teach EFL at the Open University (UNED). I do research at I-Communitas and at the Applied Linguistics research group at the UPNA. 

I earned my PhD in 2017 at the UPNA under the supervision of Dr. Amparo Lázaro-Ibarrola. The study analysed the impact of the paired format and the age factor in the Negotiation of Meaning and assessment of oral proficiency with EFL beginner students. I have written Q1 JCR and SJR articles and book chapters for reputable academic publishers and have presented studies at international conferences (AILA, EUROSLA, AESLA, etc.) in different countries. I am a regular reviewer for scientific journals and have been a member of several national and regional research projects. I am the Principal Investigator in the UPNA-funded research project entitled Key Factors in Foreign Language Learning (English) with Primary School Learners (2023-2024). My current research interests focus on oral proficiency, motivation and exposure in multilingual instructional settings. I also carried out a research stay at Dublin City University (DCU) in 2022. 

I also hold an MA in Applied Linguistics (English Language Policy and Planning in the European Framework) from the UNED, a BA in English Philology from the UNED, and a BA in Foreign Language Primary Education from the UPNA. I also did training on Multiple Intellligence Theory at Harvard University (Massachusetts), in 2008. 

I have previously worked as an EFL and CLIL teacher at Infant, Primary, Secondary and High School Education, and have trained teachers at the Official School of Languages. I was Head of the University Service at the Government of Navarre (2017-2019).

On another note, I have interpreted and translated (English-Spanish/ Spanish-English) in scientific and motorsport contexts. I translated Mat Oxley's Stealing Speed into Spanish Velocidad Robada (La Mala Suerte Ediciones, 2020). In 2021 I set up and participated in the Motorcycling Bits & Bobs international course (UNED).
