EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY
Telecommunications Engineer (2010), Master in Biomedical Engineering (2012) and Doctor in Engineering (2015) from the Public University of Navarra (PUN-UPNA) with mentions "Cum Laude" and "International". Since 2015 he is accredited as Lecturer and Associate Professor of Private University, according to the National Agency for the Evaluation of Quality and Accreditation (ANECA). He is currently working as Assistant Professor at the Electrical, Electronic and Communication Engineering Department (UPNA), area of Electronic Technology. In addition, he is a member of the Institute of Smart Cities (ISC) at UPNA and of the Spanish Society of Biomedical Engineering (SEIB).
Since the 2013/2014 course he gives classes in different subjects related to industrial communications and electronics in the Bachelors of Engineering in Telecommunication Technologies, Computer Science, Electrical & Electronic Eng., Biomedical Eng. and Industrial Technologies. In addition, he gives classes in the Masters of Telecommunications and Biomedical Engineering related to biomedical imaging, biosensors and nanotechnology. He has also been co-supervisor of 5 final degree/master projects in Nursing, Telecommunications and Biomedical Engineering.
He has participated in 16 research projects: 4 of the Spanish National Research Plan, 9 with regional or autonomous-European funding, 2 R & D projects with private entities and a consortium within Campus Iberus universities.
Regarding scientific production, he is co-author of 57 Spanish and international scientific contributions: 4 book chapters, 25 articles and 28 conferences. In addition, he is co-inventor in a patent and a Spanish utility model. He has also been promoter of the UPNA’s spin-off Eversens S.L. in 2015, as a result of research carried out in the Sensors division of the Optical Communications and Electronic Applications Group at UPNA.
