PATXI SORBET PRESENTACION Pamplona, February 16, 1968
More than 18 years’ experience in thermal systems design and simulation (heating, cooling and solar). In his career, firstly was project designer in the field of thermal facilities & systems, including works managing & commissioning. Started in 2006, in the field of and renewable energy and energy efficiency. In 2012 moves to Research area, being hired in projects with University Research Groups. Besides his technological expertise in thermal systems and renewable energies, he was active in the university field as assistant professor in the Public University of Navarra (UPNA) along 2010-2016.
He started in the Research area in 2012 as Project collaborator in IMAC Research Group (Mechanical Engineering Applied and Computational) of UPNA University. Later in 2014 was contracted as Project collaborator for a Solar Cooling Project in Thermal and Fluid Engineering Research Group of UPNA university. Lately, in 2016 he moved to CENER where he is currently focused in Power cycles and innovative Plant concepts for Concentrated Solar Power, and Solar Heat Process Plants concepts, in the Solar Thermal Energy Department.
He owns more than 600h of teaching experience in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Energy and Materials, of Public University of Navarra UPNA, in Thermal engines and HVAC area. He also participated in a Courses of Thermal Installations, and some teaching Activity for ATECYR (Spanish Technical Association of HVAC).
