Procedure for the joint supervision of Doctoral Theses by the UPNA and foreign universities

Agreement A8/2016 of the Management Committee

For each joint supervision, the corresponding agreement must be signed.

PhD students from foreign Centers who wish to undertake the doctoral thesis under joint supervision with the Public University of Navarra, must prove that they can access doctoral studies (access requirements).

If the report is favorable, they should apply for admission to the Doctorate Program in which they wish to carry out the research work (application for admission) and simultaneously, request the completion of the thesis under a joint supervision scheme.

If the agreement of the Academic Commission is favorable, it will be reviewed by the Standing Committee of the School of Doctorate. If it is also ratified, the agreement will be transferred to the Technical Secretariat of the Public University of Navarra to elaborate the proposal of the Convention taking into account the parties until, if necessary, the wording that will be recognized and assumed by the Centers is reached.
