University services

Cultural activities
The University participates in the dissemination of cultural activities by programming events in the areas of the arts, theatre, music and cinema.

There is a Cultural Coordinator in charge of these programmes.

Exhibitions
During the year there are regular art exhibitions of new tendency artists, local and national . The exhibitions take place in the Charles III Culture Room, in the city centre.

Cinema
The Cinema Club of the University and the organises conferences and filmeshowings on monographic themes throughout the year at economic prices.

Theatre Club
The University has set up various classic and contemporary plays in combination with the Theatre School of Navarre. Also, theatre technique courses and conferences, where personalities from the theatre world take part, are organised in the University.

Music
There is a wide range of cultural activities as to music is concerned especially classic, folk and rock music. The Music Group of the University organises several concerts during the year and coordinates both contests for instrument ensemble and choir categories that the members of the University take part in. There is also a university choir that performs in the ceremonies. Like the rest of the Universites in Spain, there is a 'tuna' - group of guitarists and singers that perform traditional popular songs and play serenades under the balconies of local young ladies.

 


Student associations

In the Public University of Navarre, there are multiple associations and collectivities that cover the students diverse fields of interest.

Some are represented in certain governing bodies like for instance, the University Group, Ikasle Abertzaleak and Eraldatu. Some are international associations like, AIESEC (Association Internationale of Student in Sciences and Business Administration); some professional, like the Employment Bureau, IAESTE (The International Asssociation for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience); some social like the Student Association of Sociology of Navarre.

The majority of these associations get together in the Association Room in the 'Aulario' building.


Religious service

The Religious Service was founded due to the collaboration agreement that was signed between the Public University of Navarre and the Archbishop of Pamplona. The service is directed by a priest.

Apart from celebrating Mass every morning at 8.30, it is involved with other activities of devotion during the year. It organises conferences on issues related with the dialogue between faith and culture.

The service has a Social Action section: Gizarte Ekintza, where students may apply for working holidays or volunteer work.

The Chapel is open throughout the day and the Director´s office in the 'Sario' building, is open from 9.00 to 13.00 in the morning.
