The University and the city
In the southern part of Pamplona, rises the Arrosadía Campus of the Public University of Navarre. The view is open, only grooved by the River Sadar on which poplar-trees grow luxuriantly on its riverbanks, last evidence of a charming landscape that, not too long ago stood away from the city, a place where families took pleasant walks on days off, when the automobile was a luxury for the majority.

The Arrosadía Campus is perfectly communicated with the city centre and the bypass which gives quick access to any other part of the metropolitan area of Pamplona. Different bus stops provide a quick means of transport, three parking lots are strategically distributed throughout the Campus and a considerable number of teachers and students prefer to walk to university. After all, Pamplona is still a city where the pedestrians can walk from the heart of the city - Castillo Plaza - to the university in less than half an hour.

On the other end of the city within the grounds of the Hospital of Navarre, stands the modern building of Health Sciences. It was built out of the Arrosadia Campus to favour the close contact with the Hospital, in which students do nursing practice.

The Public University of Navarre is an institution only 13 years old. A very short period but intense due to the activity involved in order to transform the Arrosadia area into a combined urban complex, fit for teaching and research work and integrated by a solid collectivity of teachers and administrators.

11.000 students come to the University every day demanding academic qualification.

To conclude, the few years that have passed since the opening of the University has resulted in an institution that has reached the level of development the society of Navarre requires.
