Mathematics I. 13101
Compulsory 4.5 Credits 1st Semester.
Contents: Introduction (groups, relations, applications, operations, structures
and morphismos). Vectorial spaces. Matices. Systems of equations. Linear and
bilinear applications. Quadratic forms.
Objectives: To improve students' mathematical knowledge, so that they're able
to apply the abstract idea of matrix to the real economic "input-output".
To try to find easy economic applications to mathematical questions.

Introduction to Economics. 13103
Compulsory 4.5 Credits 1st Semester.
Contents: This subject, mainly theoretician, is an introduction to Economics and
deal with the behavior of rational beings. Particularly, it's studied the
method that society uses to coordinate and reward contributions who takes part
in social economy of. Thus, we start from a microeconomic perspective, that
reflects the behavior of individual agents, to a macroeconomic perspective,
that reflects the aggregate interation among social economic agents.
Objectives: Students should adquire fundamentals on Economics. At the
first stage, to offer an easy idea about the main economic aspects, like
efficiency, rationality, equilibrium or equity. At the second place, to
familarize students with the reasoning used by economistes when treat these
topics; and why economics is a valid discipline to understand an important part
of the world and human relations. Also, it's sought students acquire a critical
sense which lets them distinguish between descriptive and normative
parts of economics, and correctly locate the reach of economic arguments.
The general objective seeks students finally have a sufficient resources
to study next courses and topics more difficult.

Data Processing with Computer. 13109
Compulsory 4.5 Credits 1st Semester.
Contents: Students are introduced into basic statistical techniques for data
analysis, as Descriptive Statistics for one varible, two-dimensional tables,
regression and correlation. Finally, it's explained basic techniques for
analysis of time ordained data: index numbers and time series. Every
topics are explained with practical examples of data analysis, with SPSS.
Objectives: To know and use the statistical language and vocabulary.
To know the logic of statistical reasoning. To get a good level into the
basic techniques related to the analysis of data sets. To interpret statistical
results in a correct manner. To know when it's possible the aplication of
a statistical technique. To get experience into the use of statistical programmes
(as SPSS) which let reach statistical results from data tables.

Objectives: 1.- To differenciate the emergent kinds of industrial
organization, production and manegement leanning, TQM and European Models.
2.- To evaluate the new policies on Human Resources (HHRR), and
consequences over the new ways of work organization.
