The 2011 Budget aims to contribute to the accomplishment of the University’s Mission, which the Strategic Plan defines as:
“The Mission of the Public University of Navarre is to contribute to the progress of society by creating and passing on knowledge and promoting culture, shaping individuals from an all-round perspective.”
Seeking the accomplishment of this mission, the objectives for the 2011 budget year are:
1. Launch of the first academic year of new EHEA-format first-degree and postgraduate courses.
2. Start of the current first- and second-cycle course withdrawal process.
3. In the current context of economic crisis, which has led to constraint on the University's budget, to attempt to ensure the maintenance of the University’s teaching, research and social/cultural awareness work, aiming to make maximum use of the resources available.
The Budget of the Public University of Navarre for 2011 was approved by the Social Council at the session it held on the 23rd of December 2010.
Structure:
It is divided into three parts
Part 1.- Design and Regulations. Containing the following sections:
1) Design: Report, criteria for budget allocation and performance indicators.
2) Regulations: Bases for execution.
Part 2.- Figures.The information is presented in three sections:
1) Presentation and summary.
2) Expenditure budget. Detailed reports by sub-items, programmes and U.F.G (Functional Expenditure Unit)
3) Revenue budget.
Part 3.- Appendices:
1) Appendix I: Complementary Remuneration For Individual Merit, Teaching Staff
2) Appendix II: Prices and Tuition Fees.
3) Appendix III: Budget of the Fundación Universidad-Sociedad
The 2010 budget aims to contribute to the accomplishment of the University’s Mission, which the 2009 Strategic Plan defines as:
The Public University of Navarre is a higher education institution, born of the will of Navarrese society, with an international, free and independent vocation. Its MISSION is to create and pass on knowledge and culture, contributing to innovation, change and progress in the society it forms part of and to the all-round training of individuals, endowing them with technical ability, a constructive critical spirit and a sense of responsibility, in pursuit of the highest levels of quality, effectiveness and social return.
Seeking the accomplishment of this mission, the objectives for the 2010 budget year are:
1. Development of the European Higher Education Area implementation process, in such a way that the new first-degree map, replacing the current system of “diplomaturas”, “licenciaturas”, “ingenierías técnicas” and “ingenierías superiores”, is operational by September 2010.
2. Launch of the first academic year of new EHEA-format first-degree and postgraduate courses.
3. Start of the current first- and second-cycle course withdrawal process.
